Around Evanston, specialist offices tend to cluster near hospitals and in medical office parks, and wait times for a consultation run from a few days for an endodontist to several weeks for a busy orthodontist. Most consultations across Illinois are free or low-cost and come with a written treatment plan and price; ask whether the fee is in-network for your plan, what sedation options exist and how many visits the treatment takes. Dr Wun and his staff provide OUTSTANDING care!! I am one hundred years old and needed three teeth extracted. They did a great job! Everyone was extremely professional and treated me with lots of TLC. I didnโt feel a thing either. Highly recommend!!

I had the best experience possible with Dr. Velazquez! I had to get my wisdom tooth pulled in somewhat of an emergency and Dr. Velazquez made it so easy and painless. It has been healing very well and I could not have asked for a better experience. He was very patient with my questions and answered them very fully.

I had the worst experience at this office! When I booked my appointment, I provided my insurance information, and at no point was I told that they were out of network or that no insurance is accepted. Patients should be told this upfront. I was then charged a $500 consultation and an x-ray fee which was never disclosed before the appointment. Had I known, I would not have gone through with the visit. Any reputable dental office should clearly communicate fees ahead of time. They also quoted me over $4,000 out of pocket to remove my wisdom teeth. I later went to a dentist who does accept insurance and paid $1,000 total for the exact same procedure. If you have dental insurance, I strongly recommend going elsewhere!!!! The lack of transparency around pricing and insurance coverage here was extremely misleading!! Edit: This was not a โmiscommunication.โ I was never told they were out of network. They do file insurance, but their prices are so inflated that out-of-network insurance covers almost nothing. The $500 consultation and x-ray fees were also never in any capacity disclosed!

My son had all four wisdom teeth extracted and right after the surgery I asked if he can keep the teeth as a keepsake but were already tossed in a biohazard bag. Staff had zero empathy and effort. Iโm sure if it was a diamond ring it wouldโve been retrieved! It may not be significant to the staff but it is a rite of passage for the kids - let them decide if they want to keep their wisdom teeth as a memento.

I recently got 4 of my impacted wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Wun and couldnโt have asked for a better outcome. Dr. Wun and his staff were extremely professional, knowledgeable and informative about their pre and post operation instructions. I would highly recommend checking out this office and specifically Dr. Wun!
